I am sure as a Software developer from Nigeria, you must have heard about one of the world’s fastest-growing tech firms(ANDELA) one way or the other, either on Twitter, from friends, meetups and so on. In this post, I will be sharing my EPIC story with you and how it has made me not only a better Developer but also a better Individual.

EPIC: Excellence, the talent or quality which is unusually good and so surpasses ordinary standards. The first time I visited andela, I was wowed by the level of excellence portrayed by the firm. Is it the employees, the paintings on the wall, the office structure, the gadgets, the workstations. Every thing I saw and experienced that day surpassed my expectations. from the reception to the waiting room, to the interview. I knew there was something different about the place and it was the right fit for me.
EPIC: Passion is a feeling of intense enthusiasm towards or compelling desire for someone or something. In the space of two days while attending the bootcamp programme, I found every human of andela to be very passionate set of individuals. Andelans are passionate about self and peer development, solving problems, helping others, giving back to the community and a whole lot more.
EPIC: Integrity, the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles. Integrity is something is something my LFA(Learning Facilitator) at Andela shows me each time he gives a feedback either from asking him a simple question or during my project review.
EPIC : Collaboration, the action of working with someone to produce something. Collaboration is something held high at heart by Andelans. At Andela there’s no ‘I’, it’s always ‘We’. Collaboration coupled with efficient communication plays a very important role in a progressive work environment such has Andela.
